TabTrade Review - The Good and the Catch

Tab Trade - What It Is

Tab Trade opened in March 2026. Online broker registered in Saint Lucia, under the FSRA. The guy behind it is Benjamin Boulter. Prior to TabTrade, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.

That last detail matters. It suggests the leadership has actually done this before. Does not guarantee anything. But more reassuring than a random name you cannot trace.

The broker opened with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure institutional desks use. The typical new launch leads with marketing and bonuses. Tab Trade did the opposite. Unusual for a new broker.

The instrument list: forex, indices, metals, commodities, shares, crypto, exchange-traded funds. 1,000+. For a platform that launched in March 2026, that range is broad.

The Software

Available: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and web trading. Both platforms from the same login. A lot of brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.

MetaTrader 5 is the default. Full charting, EAs, huge user base. If you know MetaTrader previously, it is familiar territory.

cTrader is the cleaner option. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.

Direct FIX connectivity is available for bots but needs the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is said to be in the works. That will be a good addition when it arrives.

What You Pay

Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.

Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Simple. Zero deposit requirement. Suits beginners.

Edge account. Raw spreads from 0.0 pips on average. Flat commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your actual cost per trade sometimes sits under half a pip. That is good for an offshore broker. Most platforms that offer pricing like this require a minimum deposit. This broker requires zero deposit.

VIP. $25k to open. FIX connectivity, execution under 20ms, negotiated fees. Not for most retail traders. Ignore this one unless you trade institutionally.

How Fast Are the Fills

The execution is the area where Tab Trade stands apart. Equinix data centres. Execution below 30 milliseconds on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run a much wider range.

Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is the difference between. If you swing trade, you will not notice. The point is the setup is serious. That says something about priorities.

Combine that execution speed with the Edge account pricing and the total package is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit have infrastructure at this level.

Safety

Here is the thing that requires honesty. TabTrade is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If operating without FCA or ASIC oversight makes you uncomfortable, stop reading. There are ASIC-licensed brokers out there.

That said. The founder built his career at BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The Equinix infrastructure is not cheap. Scam brokers do not bother with tier-1 data centre access. None of this make it safe. But be part of your decision.

The trade-off: you give up tier-1 protection. What you get instead: 1:1000 leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether this deal makes sense is your call.

Deposit Bonus

Tab Trade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Standard sign-up bonus. You put money in, they add bonus funds. The normal fine print: turnover conditions before bonus funds can be taken out. Check the terms before you commit.
